Hey guys, I spoke to Markjlr in depth today, great guy!! He suggested that maybe my dealer lets me hook up to their Bosch tool and using either Topics Cloud or Pathfinder he can push the CCF's and program the change, well.....no surprise but my dealer for obvious reasons can't do that. The other option then would be to fly Mark to me OR custom order a Defender 😔

By the way.....ANY new Defender can have adaptive cruise activated without any need for "additional" or "missing" hardware.

Don't tell that to swajames. It simply is not possible that this is the case.

My mistake. I thought we were talking LR pulling that particular option from an order placed by Low Country. If the car Low Country is looking at just never had the option selected then of course it can be retro-fitted. And it should be!

I miss my 1957 Morris Minor. No options. A motor, 4 tires and a steering wheel.

I ordered it because I could but the HUD is more of a 'always wanted one' but not enough that I wouldn't skip it for the car. The tow package would be the one I'd push for figuring out though, as in my case that's the whole reason I went with the Defender, it's towing capabilities.

The recovery eyes while not easy can be added after the fact if this is the rear ones, didn't know the fronts were optional. But the adaptive cruise is the big one. I now you don't need it offloading but you have to drive to most off-road places on highways and boy is adaptive a great stress reliever because at least in the states no one can keep the car at the same speed.

I have not been able to compare, but the 10" vs 11.4" is a marginal difference, if it was like one of those tiny screens in-between radio ***** vs a flat screen interface I'd be more up in arms about it but honestly, 1.4" isn't going to make a significant difference in display quality.
