Default Which thule box to use with xplorer pack oem roof rack

Folks,

As title suggests, I have the oem roof rack and would like to buy a Thule roof box.

I am waiting on powerful UK adaptors that raise the bars that will support the box, and would like to know which Thule roof box you guys run with the oem roof rack, to steer me towards a model that will work.

Thanks for any input.

i had this one on my last. At and use it on the rack. No adapter needed. I did make a 1/2 inch rise to two bars with some hardware for a TV mount I had. That worked well. I’ve not bothered using the DIy adapter in about two years.

the floor to the box bends sufficiently. I just cinch it down.

if buying new I’d get a box with a flat floor.

simple Mod.

Any of them should work. Gavin has one that works -- I also have one that works. I have Thule Force XL which I think is no longer sold (it’s the matte black one, it’s not shiny black). I think it’s been replaced by the Thule 3 Force Xl which is similar.

Any of them with the little claw feet should work.

(and have hte Powerful Uk lifting blocks you mention, they work great to lift up the bars, although I’ve only used them once, for one day haha)

Thank you much. I already ordered the PUK spacers, so we’ll see what fits on them. Checked you link and thank you for that 👍

If you find an older one that is u-bolted through the body of the box they fit without lifting a crossbar. I bought an old one off marketplace that works well.

nashvegas is correct, claw feet work. We have the Force XL, also. Without the lifting blocks, the claws would hold sufficiently, but wouldn’t wrap/close all the way. I added the lifts for piece of mind, and they completely close now.
