I loved Pirelli's on my sports cars -- in past decades.

So, I used very unhappily two sets of Pirelli Scorpions on my LR4. I figured the first set being noisy (wop wop wop) was a fluke --- but, alas it was not. What torture!

Also, yes, they were terrible on snow -- scary useless.

MIchelin was far superior in all respects.

Never again Pirelli's for me.

Still running the Falken Wildpeaks on your red LR4? What has your experience been with them? I'm ready to replace the OEM Goodyears on my Defender. Want a less aggressive AT tire like the Wildpeaks for a balance of sand traction without digging plus quiet on the road. Also considering the Vredestein Pinza AT. Already have Nokian winter tires and can't imagine using anything else for ski trips to VT, NH & ME.

I have the Pirelli Scorpions on my P300 110 from new, now with 11K miles and no issues. Rotate them every 5K miles, they seem to be wearing well. I do run them with the low load / pressure setting.

PaulLR:

Great to hear from you.

Yes, still on the same set of Wildpeaks and very happy with them. I will probably buy another set in a couple of months.

We are at 53K miles now; using the vehicle quite a bit, mostly in the U.S. NE on a new job assignment. No unusual issues -- all good.

Decided to keep the 2011 LR4 -- using it on the farm permanently -- At 145K miles now.

Driving around the 2020 Defender with the A pillar uncovered. No significant issues.

Enjoy !!!

Thanks for the Wildpeak update, I'll probably get a set for the Defender as well. Glad to hear the LR4 is rolling along and has another 100K miles left in it. As for the Defender, ours has been reliable through 26K miles. Just had to take apart the left side of the dashboard and pack it with foam and felt to stop some annoying squeaking.
Take care!
