Towbar hitch included in towing pack?
I noticed that the installation guide for the towing systems implies that the north american spec tow hitch receiver should come with a towbar hitch (bottom right of this image) "supplied in a hard plastic case that can be stored in the loadspace." Did that come with the towing pack for anyone?
I have a Defender X with the towing pack and I remember seeing a case, that looked just like the standard Land Rover tow hitch cases, on the salesperson's desk when I picked up my keys. They casually moved it farther away from me as I was looking at some paperwork though and I didn't think anything of it at the time. As much as I'd like to think of LR dealers as honest and trustworthy, I just want to make sure they didn't raid my Defender of anything not bolted down to sell later as spare parts.

No hitch and ball were included in the U.S. tow hitch package for the Defender S I picked up earlier this year. I bought the hitch and ball from Amazon in a size and load capability appropriate for the trailers I am towing.
The specification for the drop of the hitch is called out in the owner's manual.

My 16 year old 4Runner came with a hitch and ball with Toyota engraved on it. I can’t believe these trucks don’t come standard with one especially with what their intended use is. Same with the rear recovery point. Should be standard on every one.

Three years ago, when I bought my Discovery 5 with the tow package I had the same question as when the car was delivered it did not come with it. I asked the dealer and they told me that was not included with the tow package. I ultimately bought the land rover one online from another dealer. It is really nice, fits much better in the receiver than the ones one can get online or at auto part stores (comes also with two different ***** that are easily interchangeable), which results in no noise and it fits perfectly in the pre-formed receptacle that comes under the trunk floor of the car. Still in hindsight I don't think it is worth the price (I think I paid around $300 vs the $50-$60 the generic ones cost)..
I would guess they don't include one in the tow package (I didn't get one either) due to potential liability of someone using it for the wrong purpose. Different tow applications may require different bars/***** and providing just one could lead to the less informed getting themselves in trouble and then blaming LR.
