Default Tried using Wifi to install the last software upgrade and all good.

After previous software upgrades I have had issues including no radio volume, blank center screen, warning messages about safety features that not available and most recently the power steering was gone after a software upgrade.

Since I can't get a service appointment for months, I stopped into the dealer and briefly spoke with the shop foreman about this. He thinks the issue is poor cell service which can interrupt software upgrade transfer or cause the transfer to stop and restart multiple times. He is certainly correct as the cell service at my house is terrible. Dropped calls and broken voice during conversations are common.

So for the 3.2 upgrade, I tried turning off the mobile data and connecting to my home Wifi network. It appears that the 3.2 loaded and installed perfectly with no issues using my home Wifi.

Alternatively, go and park near a 4G tower. I have one close to me that (using speedtest.net) shows downloads of 280 Mbps.

If you have a 5G phone and hotspot from that, it's far quicker even than that.

I was under the impression the OTA updates required a wifi connection to install. I guess I misunderstood the instructions.

I've had no problems with software on mine. Any and all OTA updates have only ever occurred via our home wifi when the Defender is garaged for the night.

So to connect the home wifi do you have to disable the SIM inserted in the car? Thank you

If I remember correctly you need to turn off "mobile data" and turn on wifi. It should prompt you to enter your home wifi password.
