Default Trip selector goes black

Good day, defenders.

I am facing an issue on my new 2025 P400 HSE defender. Whenever i am changing the left or right screen on the dashboard (mainly trip selector), the screen will go black until i turn the car off

and on again. The car is brand new and still early for the regular maintenance date. would appreciate the help from anyone who face this before. attached is a picture of teh issue.

thanks.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery under the passenger seat? Always worth doing, and if that doesn't fix it, take it to the dealer.

got the same advice from someone. Haven't tried it yet. Any side effect for doing this?

No, there won't be. You'll still have all your presets and settings saved.

Ironically that is all the dealer is going to do the 1st time you take it in. Then they’ll say it’s fixed. Unless there’s a trouble code in which case they’ll try to fix it.

Then it will happen again. You’ll take it back. And they’ll actually fix it.

Sorry to be a bit pessimistic but that’s probably how this plays out at the dealership!
