I’ve experienced the same issue when I first got my ‘22, leaving someone in the car, but locking it for safety, and found out as BritCars says that the passenger need only give a half pull on the handle to unlock the drivers door. Works like a charm and no need to replace switches, disassemble doors and spend big bucks for JLR parts prices unnecessarily.
It looks like that is the logical solution as I am disappointed to report that the door switches are NOT interchangeable. Damn it!
The blue one is from the driver's door, the other from the passenger front door. As you can see, the wiring connectors are different and the "blue" one would not accept the passenger door's wiring connector.
You should also know that I think the switches are made to come out with the door card removed. Pulling them out from the "front side" of the door card was quite the task...putting them back in was even more difficult.

I'd like to see if a UK (or any RHD) spec driver's lock/unlock button has the same white connector as that one. Might be worth reaching out to Simon Jefferson at Powerful UK - good chance he will take the time to check into this, and who knows, maybe even make a video about it and come up with a solution. Another new thing learned!
• Passenger door pull: half pull to unlock driver side door.
• Max AC: Long press AC button to enable Max AC
• Folding Mirror: Press L/R mirror button to fold both mirrors manually.

Yes, seems to go against convention, but it’s simple and works. No need to seek a solution where no problem exists. Should JLR have put a lock/unlock button there? Sure. But to open a door panel, finagle a wiring harness and swap out door switches seems like too much work once we have all figured out how to give a half-inch tug on the handle. And infrequently at that. Had to have my wife accomplish this feat fewer than 10 times in the past few years.
