V8 Oil Change issues

V8 Oil Change issues
Set out to perform my first oil change on a 2023 V8. Since there is no dipstick on these, I assume the extractor tube is supposed to go down the brass tube in the center of the oil fill tube, correct?
Did I not buy the right oil extractor because neither tube that came with it will fit down this tube. I'm also concerned that the tube seems to go through about a 90 degree bend right away and these plastic extractor tubes are rather stiff. What are you V8 do-it-yourselfers using? Thanks.

I just changed my oil today for the first time. My evacuator has two tubes, a thinner one that fit inside the dipstick tube of my P300, and a shorter, thicker tube that fits snugly OVER the tube in the oil filler of the V8. See if one of that diameter was included with your Mityvac. Once I figured that out it worked great. HTH

Doesn't the Mityvac come with a black foam coupler / fitting of some sort? On my old LR4 with the same extraction system as the V8 Defender, that fitting was perfect to connect the brass pipe under the oil cap with the poly tube of the evacuator.
Watch this video, ignore my awful blabbering and go to 4:10 and again 5:10 to see the fitting I am talking about and how I used to use it. I assume the diameter of the extraction pipe in the Defender V8 is the same as the old LR4's - only a somewhat educated guess since the engine manufacturer is the same.

Thank you! Your video was exactly what I needed. All the other writeups I read say to feed the tube down the dipstick hole until it's at the bottom of the pan - but these were all non-V8 engines I assume. I figured that the brass tube was what I needed to feed a line down. I had no idea that the tubing just connected to the top of that brass line with one of the black rubber connectors. I've never used one of these extractors before.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Performed the oil change per the video and as expected, it was super easy with the pump.
My only concern is that I only managed to get 6L out.
According to the book, capacity is supposed to be 8.0L. (maybe something to do with the supercharger?)
And with the way you fit the end of the tube on, there's no "fishing" the tube further down into the pan.
I guess it is what it is, but I'd love to hear from someone with a V8 that can get all 8L out using the pump.

I got two gallon jugs from my pump (7.6 L). Considering that there is still some oil in the pump and filter cartridge, and oil that is still in oil passageways etc. in the engine, I thought that was pretty good. I refilled with 7.5L and the digital gauge was two marks below full. So almost exactly 8L to top up.
I did unscrew the filter housing two full turns and left the vacuum pump attached for a half hour. It randomly burped up oil for quite a while.
