V8 Service info
When I took delivery of my leftover 2025 V8 110 last month with 40 miles on it, the service info screen on the Pivi showed 3550 miles to next service. The factory interval is 16,000, so this is clearly wrong. It has continued to count down approximately mile for mile. I’ve asked the dealer to clarify, but have not gotten an answer. Has anyone seen anything like this? Could it be time based, based on the fact that the car sat on the lot for a year?
Ignore it, take it to the dealer at 2,000 miles and have them do an oil and filter change and reset the service counter. Never wait for that ridiculous high interval. Do the next one after 5,000 miles. These V8s have VERY thin oil passages inside and internal tiny oil jet nozzles for the timing chain. Keep the oil clean. Those recommended long intervals are nothing more than an appeal for lease companies for a perception of low running cost of ownership. These V8s will take about 600 miles to start loosening up. Same with the brake pads, they'll start grabbing more once they settle around that same 600 miles or so. I just had a 2,000 service done by request on my 25' L460 and will do the same with my '26 Defender V8.
