I have a deposit on a 23 defender and am in the process of specing it out. What material is on the V8 steering wheel? It looks like alcantra on the online configurator. I much prefer an actual leather steering wheel. Thanks.

I had a 911 with an alcantara wheel, it doesn't stay all nice and soft and velvety for long.

 

Have had 2 vehicles with Alcantara wheels. Both looked ragged by 10-15K miles and in fact one was replaced under warranty by BMW. And I'm very clean. Alcantara is a terrible material for a non race car steering wheel...

 

That stinks. I’ve had a couple of AMGs with alcantra steering wheels. I hate them.
