Hi,
I have a landrover defender 90 and since i have new tyres the steering wheel started to vibrate. Then i swapped the tyres with the ones a friend of mine was using on his landrover which are of the same brand and the same quality and the steering wheel did not vibrate. Could it be that the tyres are causing this problem? The steering box checked and it is ok. Not too shure about the steering dumber. The fact is that with other tyres the steering wheel worked fine.

The damper is not the problem, although it can help mask it. Back to the tyre shoppe, they have balance off, or you threw a weight, or a tyre has a broken belt inside.
