Voice assistant button stopped working

Default Voice assistant button stopped working
Two days ago the voice assistance button on the steering wheel stopped working, both Siri and “Hey Land Rover” still work if activated manually from the screen.
Any quick fix?

I'd like to deactivate that button. Too often I hit it with my thumb while changing radio stations.

Honestly I use it very often with CarPlay. Maybe it broke because I use it often, but the car is one year old.
I hope it can be done without ordering a new piece, it will take ages.
