Default Wade Sensing on Coil Suspension

Wade sensing does not seem to be working in my D90 (coil spring suspension). Have gotten some feedback from a few folks in the FB group, but all with air suspension, so trying to get feedback from folks with coil suspension.

With the car stopped and the engine running I go to 4x4i and select wade sensing as per iGuide (see picture). I then get the "Wade sensing currently not available" message and then the wade sensing screen but no information (one time it did show the wading info for a couple seconds, but then got the message again). I am assuming something isn't right and since car is going to the dealer anyway to have a seat fixed (third visit after the dealer performed the front row seat tracks recall...) want to have them check it, but would be helpful to hear how it works from other coil suspension owners.

Wade sensing only activates above a minimum depth. I figured out through trial and error its about 5 inches or so?

It says on your screen the min. is 0.1 Meter --- which is about 4 inches. I missed this one on my 110 for a while......

Kind of along the same lines as TrioLRowner, are you in the water when you are trying to use it? It won't work otherwise, and gives you that message. Maybe it should say "Drive into some water to enable wade sensing" instead?
