Excellent! I had a 2016 Focus RS. I sold it and immediately missed it. Did you like yours? Mods?
Yeah I loved it. Full Mountune upgrade package with intercooler, piping, CAI, etc. It was pretty quick and surprisingly good in the snow with proper tires. But with the market being what it is, I was able to sell for almost what I paid for it 5 years ago and couldn’t pass it up.
nice - good to see people others in here loving hot hatches. even as a lifelong land rover fan, always needed a pocket rocket to accompany the landies. 2017 focus rs, 2012 wrx sti, and a 2005 evo VIII were a few of my favs.
just when I thought I'd "outgrow" hot hatches, toyota is putting their hat in the ring with the Corolla GR:

My sti has been tucked away in the garage for a while. I test drove a 110s in October but I am not looking to pay a $5,000 mark up. I have been driving my 97 Cherokee everyday so the sti isn’t getting any miles. I really just need to sell the subie and go order the defender. I just don’t have the time or energy to part out the sti. Just the basic turbo back w/ killerb elh, intake and a good tune. Tons of fun everyday but my kids get car sick and no matter how smooth I drive it doesn’t help them. Plus I want something better at towing my motorcycle trailer to the track.

I would sell it as is if you can find a Defender with no or minimal mark up. Your car will be attractive to enthusiasts with those mods. You will just have to deal with that slightly painful process of selling a modified car and all the attendant questions. It can be tedious.
I am going that route. I can't afford to keep both cars right now due to no parking spot in the city. I have a one car garage. Your car will sell. It is really nice and subdued. Very tasteful.

Yeah, I had an aircooled 911 & a Cayman R and sold them when I bought this STi. Great great cars both.
But I had really enjoyed owning, driving and wrenching on them and was ready to move on. I did most of the work on them myself but it was still getting too pricey for me. And I got tired of the world saying "Nice Porsh."
I realized I didn't want that attention. Now driving a red STi as a 55 year old man I could deal with! Go figure. Hahaha. People just think I am some immature manchild with questionable taste. I can handle that assessment.

Thanks for the kind words. Honestly I almost sold the sti 2 years ago when I was shopping for a 991.1 or 991.2 touring. I was also considering a 718 gts but the wife shut that down and I couldn’t find a 911 to my preferred spec in my price range. I also have a low mileage Honda S2000 that I am keeping forever.
enjoy your d90! I want one inTasman with the white roof and 18” steelies as well, however I want the 110.
