Default What is inside this box?

On the trunk in the US Defender there is a a foot sized square box next to the switch to change access height and a small rectangular box on the opposite wall.
what is housed inside these boxes? Can they be opened up?
thanks, saravs

On the switch side the large box is the rear ac blower. If you have the 3 zone ac there is very little room behind the trim panel. When I installed our integrated air compressor I was surprised how much they fit behind the trim panel. The air compressor actually mounts in front of an audio system amplifier. After I did the install I realized how much cargo room is forfeited when the 3 zone ac is selected.

Exactly why I didn't order it. It takes up so much room and we do not need it as we no longer carry anyone in our back seat.

Our dog that rides in the way back requested we order the 3-zone AC. She is spoiled by the amazing cooling in our LR4 with 3-zone AC and plenty of rear vents.
