What would you like different in Model refresh?
For fun speculation, what would you like LR to do differently in the Model refresh. I think most of us would agree the ability to have 18 and a larger tire without modifications. Also, an easier way to mount a winch.
I have not yet found in my D110 S P300 in off-road, low-electronics, spec Defender anything I would be willing to have JLR change in their certification platform -- that platform having to deliver in a compliant fashion on six core GLOBAL (as-sold) requirements: a) best in class 4x4 body angles, b) best ever electronic 4WD system, c) 7500 + pounds towing on every model -- even the 4 cyl., d) best in class payload and roof load, e) 20 MPG + fuel economy, f) car-like ride / drive quality. With these six specs met, there is no competitor anywhere.
The introduction (in the second year of production, I note) of coil suspension makes possible the use of large wheel diameters (body lifts). The decorative-only, plastic bumper designs on the front and rear are throw away, to easily be replaced by metal bumpers and external winches.
What is delaying the evolution of the platform is a shortage of aftermarket suppliers to sell add-ons (which if sold by JLR they could not maintain the vehicles' regulatory certifications). Maybe they could invest a bit in aftermarket supplier development (?) -- that might help. Until then, we will keep cutting up their products into pieces to fit what they could not (and still be able to please the global regulators).
I suspect many will propose the Wi-fi/electronics readiness for market was poorly prepared (we shall see how all respond to this thread).

This is a really specific issue, but the max tongue weight seems out of alignment with the max towing weight. When I look at RVs that are "available" based on towing spec, the tongue weight is almost always "too heavy" for the Defender. Not sure why this is and I'm not a Travel Trailer expert to really know if this is an issue, but I thought it was curious.
I for one don't like the bulbous nose on the front end ... I'm pretty sure it was necessitated due to pedestrian safety issues, but a more square front end would have improved a lot of the early love/hate comments I saw from others.
For me, the wheel / tire issues isn't a major one. I can run a decent off road tire on a 20" rim. I'm not going to go and do hard core rock crawling - but I can handle Overlanding and Moderate / Medium trails all day long. What can't be changed is the vehicles articulation profile which is way below spec compared to what's needed for really difficult terrain. Even "Big Bertha" build from CO Denver (with lifted 35" tires) has issues with "tipping" if not careful. If there were a way to engineer better articulation into the air suspension then you'd have nirvana :-)

Sharpening up the front fascia only, but it’s still very attractive. The rear is flawless and beautiful.
That’s literally my only suggestion.
It’s a great design and bears incredible capabilities.

DVR for the 360 degree camera system
When I hit the turn signal, I want to see the side mirror display in the screen behind the steering wheel
Fingerprint sensor to unlock and start the car without ever having to carry a key.

P400 hybrid is more realistic then diesel at this point for North America.....I have a diesel MB and love it....but it has mostly a bad rap here...
