There are two types of BRAKE HOLD. One is AUTO HOLD, and the other is ON DEMAND HOLD. You can read up on them in the manual. I have disabled AUTO HOLD, from the screen in PIVI, but I use ON DEMAND HOLD occasionally at a traffic light or in bumper to bumper traffic. This is done by firmly pressing the brake pedal until the HOLD light activates. Touching the gas pedal cancels this function.
