Did not work. Hooked up external power and it turned on. So the spot in the fuse box just isn't working it seems like it should. I tried changing the ground location, still nothing. Where else can I hook it up?
I would give Lucky8 a call and ask them the question. I have heard that Lucky8 is great to work with support wise. Or you could try another open slot. 1, 4 , 5 should all be an option. Test them with a tester first to see if they always have power or are they switched power ( like when the engine or headlights or fog lights are turned on). you need to test them with a tester to see if or when the fuse socket powers up. Also maybe the fuse end adapter of the red wire might have a bad crimp or something. Be careful of tapping into a random hot wire to feed power. New defender are CAN BUS and if you pick the wrong wire all sorts of error lights will light up your dash.
Fuse socket tester. the clamp side goes to ground.

Thanks for the reply. I sent it back to them because it didn't work as in their video, they tested it and said it worked fine and that not all Defenders are the same. They sent it back to me. I didn't want to just plug into any port. As in the video, F1 and F4 are the only open ones. If I use F5, I can just take out the fuse and put this in?
I tried the light bar on my new Bronco. I have AUX switches and hooked it up to a 10a one, grounded it, and it turned on with the AUX switch. Very easy.
Well, feel a bit like a dumbass. Pulled the F5 15a fuse and plugged it in there and it worked just fine. Didn't get any error codes after leaving it on for a few mins. F1 did not work, and neither did F4 like in the video. No problem running it on F5 since it has fuses on the connector?
Plugged it into F5, worked just fine. But doesn't turn off. Stayed on for 3+ hours. Has anyone wired into the marker lights? Or know of another fuse to plug into?
