That sounds great. The OEM steelies are too $picy a meatball for me also. Very interested to learn if your steelie fits.
Tuffant Jake said the Tuffant Steels require spacers to clear the fronts (I think he said front). I don't want to muck about with spacers so have shelved that idea and gone to an alloy plan. You happen to have a link for the steel wheel?
I'm very interested to learn how your caliper fit + trim goes. Best of luck.

@NoGaBiker - Take lots of photos and post! Looking forward to seeing the efforts. May go that route as well. Likely will just change the calipers after I do the winch unless I get inspired by your efforts to just go for it.

It’s all a crapshoot right now, as wheels all have different IDs even with the same OD. For instance, the JK Wrangler Sport (base) model came with 16” steel wheels, but I had to grind the calipers to get 16” steel Wheel Vintiques to fit on mine.
So the Tuffant might require spacers and this one I have coming might not, or it might, or it might slip on without any grinding, or it might not fit no matter how much you grind it. Cheap wheel makers don’t seem to publish detailed drawings and specs.
As far as spacers, I’m fine with those if I need them — I had a 911 Turbo with optional SportTechno wheels that came with TUV-approved 17mm H&R spacers from the factory, and the car would do 200mph. So the “concept” of spacers is fine, as long as the execution is thorough. I’d rather not need them, but I might for clearance. And OEM wheels have a 41mm offset and my steelie is 37, so that is “drawing it back into the wheelwell” 4mm (1/6”), not much, but might be enough to require spacer also.
