Wind noise with LR Expedition Roof Rack
#11
we finally have our pre bent brackets ready to go if you would like to get two for the center mounts. For the bolts to mount the brackets to the rack you can use
1/4-20 carriage bolts similar to the ones included with your order. As far as directions, we have some tips and tricks on our site but due to customers having so many
different styles of vehicles, racks, and items on their racks, installations vary so dramatically that we can't have a single instructional sheet with the fairing. Also, many customers come up with unique styles of install, directions can change at anytime. If you ever need advice please reach out to is info@cofairingco.com and we can work to help you figure out a solution.

If you check through this thread you will see several posts with how our customers have installed their fairing. With the new pre-bent brackets you just need to drill two holes in the flat wind dam under the front of the roof rack and bolt the brackets to it. The other two brackets are bolted to the bottom front of the roof rack and you can also see pictures of that in this thread. Since drilling is required we only offer tips and tricks for installation because it's up to the customer how they feel about doing this. question: when you say it's loud, do you mean even when the roof rack is not loaded?? I have an older LR with the LR branded roof rails and cross bar set up. I have an opening roof window, but no extra noise... unless I load the cross bars. Then I get the noises. Is your thread saying you get noise just from having the rack on the top of the Defender? Thanks, and sorry if I didn't get your issue.
