I had mine replaced in late December 2024 - took less than a week here in Mass with OEM windshield from Safelite...it was heated, w/solar protection and then recalibrated at dealer etc...

We had our heated windshield replaced in late October - no delay at all. Done in Mt. Vernon WA.

That can't be right. I just had mine replaced 2 weeks ago, only three days between making the appointment and install. Sounds like you may need to call around.

Had mine done with Safelite, btw

Windshields are available, and a back order since last September makes no sense. Check and see if the dealer forgot to order it.

I had mine replaced with a unit in stock - apparently the last one they had at the dealer back in September.

Took a week to do it because oddly - the JLR dealer outsources the glass replacement to a glass company in town... seems odd.

My dealer used to do the same thing, but my second replacement windshield was done at the dealer by their one and only tech who can replace a windshield.

I'm in Scituate and need a replacement windshield for my 2016 LR4. Safelite is offering a non-OEM this Friday. Did you demand OEM? Thanks,

I had the work done at the dealer and OEM was the option there. I'm not sure what would have happened if I went directly to safelite but I was already getting an oil change, tire swap etc

Most dealer's regardless of brand outsource windshields as well as other fixed in place glass like rear windows and non-moving portions of sunroofs. Nothing strange at all, it's rare to find a dealer who actually does their own glass work.
