I am going to install a battery(s) in the back storage compartment when the jack is currently installed. Has anyone run wires from the battery compartment to under the back floor? It looks like there could be a wire chase just outboard of the battery.
My plan is to install a deep cycle battery to run house loads off while camping. I was going to use a voltage (charging) relay to keep the second battery changed while still isolated from the engine battery. Then, use a marine battery switch and ATC fuse panel to pull loads off of that circuit. Any suggestions on running the cable for wires would be much appreciated.
Looking right (outboard) of battery under passenger seat
I was able to go under the rubber floor. Comes out under the rear bench seats, which are easy to remove. I used a wire fishing tool. I ran the wire into the battery compartment on the left side near the seat rail and the lid still closes without having to cut or drill anything. There is a pic of how i fished the wire on post #12 of the thread linked below.
