Should pretty much do that steps under wireless. It was pretty simple for me with iPhone 13 Max Pro

I am having issues since the 3.3.2 update with CarPlay. It has been paired/was working fine before the update, and now selecting the CarPlay icon is resulting in just a blank screen. It's funny though, it'll still operate music, and if I am on a call it still seems to work through. I have tried multiple reboot cycles of the PiviPro, as well as the phone with no dice. Not sure if it's related, or if this is specific to the 3.3.2 release since I had no issues before it updated a couple days ago. I see that I have an update on my phone so going to give it a shot to see if maybe Apple broke something, but I am skeptical.

back in the 3.0 software cycle, i would have random issues with carplay not connecting with wireless, and the one solution that worked best for me was to:
1. make sure i had the latest iOS (was using an iphone 13 pro)
2. go into connectivity settings on the pivi pro and ask it to forget my phone completely. so unpair it from bluetooth, carplay, etc.
3. then i renamed my iphone in the "about" section of the iphone's "general" settings (picked something short and simple with no spaces or weird characters)
4. shut down and restart all devices (phone and car) and then re-pair my phone with my car's bluetooth, then went into the connectivity settings to ensure the phone was associated with carplay
after doing this, i had no further problems. can't say whether it will work for you, but worked for me.
now that the pivi is in the 4.0 software cycle i find carplay to be much more stable for me, and all adjustments can be easily made through the "smart devices" menu in the "connectivity" section of the settings.
anyway, good luck!

sj24k, you can possibly save the renaming step by just deleting/forgetting the bluetooth connection on your phone in addition to unpairing and deleting with PiviPro.
To the OP, in addition to sj24K's steps, when you re-pair your phone via bluetooth your phone should tell you that you can use CarPlay and ask you if you want to start CarPlay automatically.
I've generally found wireless CarPlay to work flawlessly since it was introduced. The prior wired-only CarPlay implementation was nowhere near as stable as the wireless connection has been.

yeah, i did try that first. and honestly not sure if renaming the phone was necessary or resulted in anything actually changing in the carplay handoff, BUT i happened to read a similar thread on another car forum where some people had some success by renaming the phone, so i figured it couldn't hurt. anyway. my initial carplay issues were never that bad, and pretty much in line with other vehicles i own (or have owned), and as mentioned, it seem to have only gotten better.
