Default Wireless Carplay

Just got a popup asking me to update the software, mentions wireless carplay is included in the update. We'll have to see how this works in the morning. Up until now I haven't bothered with carplay myself and the hardwired requirement was a bit of a deterrent. I really only stream music from the iphone anyway so maybe for me it won't be huge but I can see where others may benefit. Enjoy! and don't forget to double-check the settings you've toggled off. You know the drill.

Lucky! I'm a big CarPlay user and have been anxiously awaiting the update to magically appear on my system! Did your 3.0 update just appear at the end of a drive? Or after being locked and home overnight? I still see no rhyme or reason as to how these updates are pushed out...

I literally just took delivery of my 110 today. Got in, set the phone on the charger and connected Bluetooth and wireless car play was active. My sales consultant mentioned a delivery he performed yesterday, had the same thing happen.
It’s so new, I have no idea what update it’s on. I did check for updates, and it said I was in the latest. Didn’t pay attention to the version. I can check in the morning.

This morning after getting to work, I got a prompt for the update. So far it has failed to install, but no details as to why. I just set it to install again so we'll see in a bit. A little frustrating since I really look forward to wireless Android Auto, but not the end of the world if I have to plug my phone in a few more times.

remember to remove your phone profile and then reinstall it again. This was mentioned in the video above about getting android auto/car play working properly Also I have found that unplugging any cables you have in the dash for the phone, helps load the software properly.

I went out to try pulling the USB cable and it looks like the third time was the charm! Software version 3 is installed and I can verify after removing and re adding my phone, wireless Android Auto works great!

Just got the update downloaded today too, didn't check yet to see if it installed correctly though.
