Default Wiring Lightbar to High Beam - Diagram?

Currently, I have an Urban lightbar with Lazer lamps wired to an aux switch.

it’s hard to activate the lightbar, I have to reach way down to hit the switch.

installer has asked for a wiring diagram of the defender’s light and power to connect the bar to High Beam or possibly rear fog switch (stalk activation

The lightbar in question!
will be much more convenient.)

does anyone have a wiring diagram I can provide to help with this install?

thanks in advance.

Good timing I just finished installing a vision light bar in the grill of my 2020 Defender X. On the headlight connector there is an Orange/Purple wire which is a 12V high beam signal.

That is what I tapped into and it is now turned on and off by the high beams. Have it connected to an SPOD.

Supplementing @Muppetry , you want to tap into Pin 10 (different color outbound depending on right/left headlamps):

Would love to know where PowerfulUK & others source their connectors. The potential is limitless if you could put couplers between the connection. I know you can always just slice the right wire, but I just love the artistry that they have with jumping between connections.

Personally, I like that I select which lights go on when. That's why I'm a major fan of the Trigger 4 or 6 controllers. I also have the freedom of not having to poke wires thru the firewall (or the steering grommet). The inboard switches can be hooked to an ignition power source and now I have an "inside" and "outside" system with no need to route between them. Link. Yes that's an expensive substitute to running wires across the firewall but I don't want the potential headaches of having inside moisture problems.

I applaud the elegance of hooking up the lights to the high & low beams, but I also like the ability to control when they supplement things.

Another alternative is to wire the trigger to something like a d SPOD and have the trigger wire interrupted to a switch inside as well. Then you can have them work with the high beams and without as well as enabling the high beam to work without the light bar.

Thanks for your replies. It worked and they got it done. The new setup does use a loud relay. It makes a clicking sound when I engage the high beam, but I suppose I will get used to it.

Good morning, just joined and love the light bar you've installed. What's the make and model of the light bar? Thanks

If is a 23 LED Vision X XPL (curved light). It was modified (meaning they cut a little out of the back) by www.reulsport.com in Belgium. There is cutting needed of the grill as well to fit but the cutting is on the underside so you do not see it. Curved light fits but does stick out a little (hard to see in the pics)

I was going to buy the Urban roof light bar but decided against it for the exact reason that they told me there would be a switch by my knee. I have light bars on my Raptor with rocker switches on the dash and it’s annoying to keep reaching down.
Urban told me they won’t wire into the main beam because it’s illegal.
i contacted LazerLights and they do a kit and have no problem but doesn’t work with the matrix headlights apparently.
im waiting for a solution.
one key question. How much wind noise from your roof light pods?
