I have also hooked up the auxilairy High Beams to the violet/purple which triggers an relay to power them up.
Works fine if I put the light switch on manual . Does not work in normal Auto setting of Auto/HB.
So something to overrule this of do we need An canbus8 module ?
Same for my auxilairy position lights they work now with manual Low Beam and High Beam ,I hooked them direct to the blue/green wire .( Only 1 watt each )
Working on a flash module mounted behind the BCM /GWM to indicators front & rear & my auxilairy indicators.
Thanks for your replies. It worked and they got it done. The new setup does use a loud relay. It makes a clicking sound when I engage the high beam, but I suppose I will get used to it.
That depends on the relay, I have a 40amp relay which is completly silent. ( Needed to measure if it was functioning )
I installed Vulkan lights - anyone can help me to located a circuit to connect an electric relay to? The idea is to have this relay activated when ignition is on or car is running.
Good timing I just finished installing a vision light bar in the grill of my 2020 Defender X. On the headlight connector there is an Orange/Purple wire which is a 12V high beam signal.
That is what I tapped into and it is now turned on and off by the high beams. Have it connected to an SPOD.
im interested in this product. Do you have photos or videos of what it looks like at night? I’m hoping it’s good for high speeds on rural highways. Any drawbacks to the lightbar?
