Default Wrapped body + wheel arches

I’m curious to know if anyone has installed a wide wheel arch kit on a car that was already wrapped. My car is factory-wrapped, and I’d like to install the kit on it. However, I’m wondering — if the arches are glued onto the wrap, is there a risk that they might eventually peel off together with the wrap? Has anyone had any experience with this?

Factory wheel arches are not glued on, they are adhered with 3M tape and an adhesion promoter. I'm not sure how well they would adhere to the wrap. I would contact your dealer or a good PPF/wrap shop and see what they say.

I've got the Trophy Edition, so not factory wrapped but what I understand is an Ohio (https://www.defendersource.com/threa...n-wrap.175719/) company. Anyway, I changed my wheel archs to the wide version. Removed the old ones, cleaned the surface, used the 3M prep & adhesion promoter. They have been on for a couple of years now without any issues.

Am I understanding correctly that the arches are glued onto the wrap and stay firmly attached to it, and the wrap itself stays securely attached to the paint?

Yes, there is 3M automotive double sided tape and clips that keep the archs attached.

Arches are not glued on. They are stuck on with 3M tape & adhesion promoter, which isn't glue. It helps the tape stick better to the surface, unlike glue, which does all the bonding itself.
