Rear cargo area of my D90. Squeaks like crazy with or without a load in the cargo space. I haven’t tried a heavy load back there but I can’t figure out where the squeak is coming from.

I’ve had my kids trying figure out where the squeak is coming from….have no idea! Really annoying.

My panoramic roof also squeaks a bit when closed. If I have the sunshade closed, it helps to make the noise less noticeable.

Any of you having the same squeaks?

 

New seals and gaskets can make a noise with the right bit of movement. This can happen on any vehicle with new tight fitting seals. Typically, applying a light coating of rubber safe lubricant to the sealing area will typically resolve a noise.

As for the cargo area- have you checked the under floor storage area to make sure that all the accessories are properly seated and you don't have any loose items shifting. Does this happen when they are folded down or locked upright?

 

I have a 2022 Defender 110 and have had a persistent squeaky noise coming from my sun roof. Just confirmed it was primarily from the rear portion of the sunroof. I pressed on it to recreate the noise. Gave it some silicone spray and it completely went away.

 

There’s a latch guide that’s a notorious noise maker. Adding some felt solved mine. Do a search and you’ll many others who had to fix. It’ll squeak like crazy.
