Zurich Extended Warranty
Folks,
I've got some time left on my factory warranty but looking ahead at some extended options. Normally I'd pass on extended warranties but as a multi LR owner know that one repair can easily outweigh the value. So far, I've been quoted ~$3,800 for Zurich's Comprehensive (top level plus seals/gaskets) for four years or 75K miles from date of purchase. That feels very fair to me, and on par with other things I'm looking at. I would appreciate any users' experience with Zurich (LR or other brands, I know them favorably by reputation) or any other recommendations.
Thanks

You are basically buying a warranty for an additional 25k miles. A lot depends on how many miles you drive per year and what the current mileage is on your Defender as well as the expiration date of your OEM warranty. The Defenders have proven to be pretty reliable and any anomalies will usually happen during your original factory warranty. Personally, I would save the $3800 and put it aside for unexpected repairs. Your money and your peace of mind...
As far as Zurich is concerned, it is a reputable company and has been around for a long time.

Thanks, I should have been clearer that the additional warranty is for four years and 75K miles from the time of purchase (ex. now), not up to 75K on the odometer. So, if I go with it the coverage would extend to ~May 2028 and ~110K. Thanks for the reply.
I got you now. In this case it may be worth it for peace of mind. Also, check this thread out in this forum: https://landroverforums.com/forum/20...anance-120862/
