About the event:

The Land Rover Muddy Chef Challenge. The challenge (only for Land Rover owners) is a three day event that has been described as “Top Chef meets Top Gear” and I think that’s a perfect description.





The Muddy Chef Challenge combines safari style camping, fancy dress cocktail parties, visits to local farm markets, and craft spirit providers, off-road driving, sporting field events (sporting clays, etc.) and two world-class vehicle based cooking contests. Our event is based at historic Lime Rock Motorsports Park in Lakeville, CT.





Last year more than 85 modern and vintage Land Rovers attended with more than 70 teams cooking three courses. Imagine Top Chef level competition without a kitchen! Our attendees drive everything from brand new full size Range Rovers, to Defenders, Range Rover Sports, Discoveries, Series trucks and even 101 Forward Control Rovers. The IRON Muddy Chef Challenge is perhaps the most challenging event of the weekend. You have no idea whats going to be in the mystery food basket. Last year it was brook trout, pineapple, artichokes, and a can of spam. There is a shared food pantry of ingredients to choose from and you get 50 minutes to make something. It's very cool to watch people working furiously to create something.
