Dug out the 1999 Discovery 1 and did a little pre-cleaning and fluids check, seems to be running OK, started right up even after sitting for a few months, Had t put the code in for the radio and dig a pile of pine needles and branches out from everywhere. I guess I need a bigger tarp..Had to drive carefully as to not dig up the lawn as it is a bit soggy still. Plan is to take it for a longer drive tomorrow (my back is still in bad shape) and maybe a better car wash.
** Update**
Met up with a couple of other Land Rovers and was followed by my so in his 2020 TrailHawk. Great time navigating the trails, until I found a tree stump in the middle of a trail, right at the top of a hill. I think it would have helped to have better tires, and if my locking worked on the transfer case. No sure it ever worked. It took a D1 diesel AND a good size Jeep 3 pulls to get me dislodged. My son took the stump out with his Jeep. I think I tore it mostly out. When it was hung up on the stump. one front tire was off the ground (first pic) . Just before nightfall., we got a deluge of rain and my second sunroof leaked like crazy! Guess I should have cleaned the seals. Pulling it out, we used the tie-down loop on the pass side front. I am surprised it is still attached. Overall, it did pretty good for no trans fer lock and all season radials, which were a bit on the small side.
