From the hillclimb we had to navigate some tight and twisty roads back to the camp area for the the final 2 challenges.
There were a couple of stucks, these were the result of old wooden culverts that failed under the road. And in one case a small bridge falling off it's supports, it may have been rated to ATV's.
My driver and I filled an stabilised the hole the where the Ranger Rover was stuck, so the last couple of vehicles could get through without issues.
Time for the the finish the last 2 challenges were a pair of mud holes and then a tire change without using a jack. The mud holes were pretty straight forward, other than fellow in the white RRC who hit hard and dislocated the light? sensor in the distributor he was a DNF but easy fix once they figured it out literally just pop it back in place. The LR 3 had a few issues due to tires but he made it through
The tire change was get the tire off run it around your truck and get it back down, it was timed, iI think it t took us 2 minutes 11 seconds. We lost 30 seconds getting the tire iron, that was the fastest time. Log block angled under the axle, low range reverse popped right up, lug nuts off run around the truck with the tire on lugs nuts tight done.
Huge credit to my driver Andrew who has done the tire change before this was all him.

1st I can not thank the volunteers enough, they spent 2 weeks clearing bush and then setting everything up. They did an incredible job and deserve huge credit for making things a success.
They did all of this, and a lot of it in the rain:
Setup the base camp
created all the checklists, signs, documents ,stickers
organized and create a t-shirt
purchased prizes
signed routes
cooked a huge final dinner caesar salad, ribs, sausage mash potatoes, pasta, a big cake
Got the trophies
manned all the checkpoints
and each competitors entry fee was all of $20.00
And as ACG noted above Andrew and I finished 1st, which startled me I figure we placed but 1srt was a surprise. We each got a trophy, Silver rim for Co-driver Gold for driver.
Prizes were selected from a table of gear, I collected a fisker splitting axe and Andrew a small Engel cooler.
Prize table :
Winning team Sasquatch,Andrew, myself, Andy - Pres and Shawn - Treas
