Adding jumpseats to an 03 Disco II

Default Adding jumpseats to an 03 Disco II

I added both jumpseats to my '03. I wont waste the time with a full write up of the procedure, sufficed to say all mounting points for the seats ARE in place.

and belts too? that is one project i dont care to take on....

I had to modify the belts. I am going to have 2 kids riding back there in 5 point harness car seats which do not take shoulder harnesses. So what i did was get a length of seat belt and sew it on my surger sewing machine after it was looped through the original shoulder buckle. The using the older seatbelts mounting point I attached it to the wall bolts.

I am only keeping them in for about 3 weeks then they are coming out so I did not replace all of the plastic panels, just used a dremmel and a cutting wheel to cut out the H shaped holes in the plastic. Once I take the seats out I can put the original plastic buckets back in and you cannot see any seats were even in the truck.

we are kind here. unlike other forums. im sure everyone would be curious to see the custom work you did. good or bad we can learn and comment and maybe help or learn and improve from your work.
