Default We added some armor to our 2003

Our little $2500 desert Turd got some new skin over the weekend. Started out as silver. we do mostly narrow trails lined with cat claw and mesquite trees so we always got fresh stripes every trip. parked it on a big tarp and did it over the weekend in the driveway.

I'm guessing with 265 views and no comments it's not liked that much! lol.. The wife and I differ with lettering, should I do the lettering in black?
I'm really liking this so far! took her out last week got stuck in a wash and had to run through some brush and trees that would have left real damage but didn't leave a mark!
the bumper should arrive today and the lift goes on today!

I like the black but I have to be honest I think silver is a fine color on the DII especially on the face lifted models so I don't care for the change there but hey it's your truck! Do what makes me happy

I cant explain why but the wife and I just really don't like silver vehicles. lol.. Plus with all the trails here covered in Mesquite trees, catclaw and other assorted scratchy brush over grown into the routes this eliminated the Arizona pinstriping. Now I'm scratching up the new bumper though!

Really tempted to do my D2 in liner. I've been looking at the "Monstaliner" products. Monstaliner do-it-yourself roll-on truck bed liner outperforms Herculiner Bed Liner, Duplicolor and Rustoleum Road Warrior

I am with you, OP. Arizona pinstripes on sliver vehicles look odd and your new paint job is definitely appropriate. When I used to off-road in So-Cal, AZ, Nevada, Utah, I saw many trucks sprayed like that, even new models. Going with a light color is a plus too.
