Default Can LR3 Head Unit Control an iPod?

Is there anyway to have the LR3 (HK, no Nav) head unit control an iPod? Any kit or anything out there?

Based on the number of responses I'll venture a guess and say no...

I'd call them to be sure, but it looks like this is the current model:

Land Rover Parts - Land Rover Parts Center - Call (800) 574-9217 for Genuine Land Rover Parts and Accessories

They aren't cheap. There is probably something aftermarket that will work. I know grom makes them for older rovers.

This is the best Made for iPhone Kit I found so far: Land Rover 04 13 4in1 Bluetooth Handsfree USB iPhone iPod Streaming Audio Kit | eBay
It is only $300 and does everything I need, handsfree, streaming, phone, phone book, USB, speech and iPod. Better than OEM kit. Also docs are at mCAR Multimedia Interface - Land Rover

Or you could just install an aftermarket head unit with built in Bluetooth and iPhone input for half that. I sell and install 12v, and recently put this JVC ( http://mobile.jvc.com/product.jsp?mo...thId=54&page=1) in a customers D2. Even at retail price this deck provides more features, functions and expandability then adding to the OEM unit does. This deck is $140 + $20 for wire harness and $20 for kit. Additionally, with the difference you could upgrade either the speakers or the amp.

How would you tie that in to the fibre optics?

Ugh... I forgot about that. I'm used to mostly doing D2 and Range.

OK, so in that case this will work better.
