Default CD changer question

I have a 95 disco with the stock headunit. It looks like its pre-wired for a cd changer (there are some wires under the driver seat). I was wondering if a sony 10 disc changer would work?
Also, Im assuming I would have to get an adapter if i would work, any ideas on where to get one?
thanks

if you had a disco II you could get a adapter to make any brand work, but with the D1 I think you can only use a factory one.

Well the one im looking at is a sony 10 disk. Its only 75 bucks cause the guy no longer needs it. Hence why i dont want to spend 600 on a new one when i can get an aftermarket for under a 100. But are the adapters seriously 200 bucks?

thats how much i have seen them for, i would just look for a factory used one then, i thought you were going brand new. I have seen used factory as cheap as 100 bucks.

if you are replacing one or adding one on, check on ebay. they have a few and the prices are good. you may be able to find a oem changer that is less expensive than the one you are looking at. just a thought. hope it helps. gotta love a rover. duboff
