Default CD CHANGER CABLE QUESTION

Hello-
we have a 94 Disco I - and I bought the factory Radio and CD Changer to put back in - but there is a power connector and a round connector under the Driver's seat. There's no rectangular one that we think that we need.
First, does anyone have a photo of what the Changer is supposed to look like under the driver's seat and also do we just buy a cable with that rectangular connector on it? Someone told us that there's a door that is supposed to go on the seat to conseal the changer.?
We bought this with the Changer missing and some cheapo JVC radio in the slot. The antenna is even not working right!
If we replace the 2 units back to factory- does this mean the wheel buttons will work- or is that something else that we need to purchase? Then there's a code that we need to make the radio working- heck, we have the original FOB but the alarm system won't work for us!
Thank you to anyone that can help with any one of these items- I've had her for 2 yrs now with no music and no alarm and we're trying very hard to get this back to original and to Do It Right!!
Thank you to any gracious soul that can provide any pics or any help at all- we've been searching everywhere for help and we thought 'Where else to go but to fellow Land Rover lovin' folks'!

Default RE: CD CHANGER CABLE QUESTION

Take the radio to the dealer, and they should be able to give you the code for the radio. I would drive your dico, and bring a receipt for the radio, if you have one. They should be able to tell you if there is an adapter plug for it. I have a buddy parting one out, and there was a cable that goes in between to hook from the one under the seat to the changer.

The wheel controls should come back to life with the factory radio, and for your key fob, it will take a dealer, or an independant shop with a rover-comparible scanner to program your ECU to accept the new transmitter. You can get a quote when you get the radio code. They may cut you a deal....
