Default help needed

Hi All,

I am fitting a sub and amp into my 2000 discovery. I have run a new power cable and found a good ground. I have run a remote and RCA cables off my replacment pioneer head unit. Everything seems good and there is a good 13+ volts reading a the amp (engine running) but when I turn the head unit on, the voltage drops to 5v and the amp won't turn. Thinking it was the amp, I replaced the amp with a brand new one, but the same thing happens.

Does anyone have any ideas???

thanks
John

Default amp problem

check the wire you have the remote hooked to with a meter on the back side of the radio . You might have it hooked up to the power antenna output..
