ipod adapter for 2005 rr
I have recently found out as many may or may not know that the 2005 rr has no easy way to do a direct ipod or sat input(not through fm). I did a good deal of reasearch calling installers and distributors with no returned calls or any info. I live in New Jersey and for the hell of it called Unique Autosports in Long Island. For those who don't know Unique Customs on the speed channel. I left them a message and the next day I recieved a call fron the owner Will Castro (really it is no bs) he said that there is an adapter coming out in the spring that will take care of ipod and sat radio. This may be old news, but i'm not about to one try it myself or two lest some second rate installer mess with my Range Rover. I would feel confident with these guys working on my truck. The quoted price on the part was 375-400. I will keep everyone posted on what happens. I did not buy a Range Rover to have stuff clipped on a vent or my dash or through fm with bad quality.

Will was actually referring to our Nav-Tv vdock Land Rover integration kit. The units started shipping today! The vdock is a plug and play video ipod adapter that works straight through the factory touch screen. You can view a video of the unit in action at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSpHdDmJSXE. Unfortunately Will (as ALWAYS) is WAY off on the price. Please call 1.866.477.3336 for pricing.

You must remember that the part is a small bit the rest is install labor and keeping Will in the black , with his clientelle the $400 is pocket change

No. The PART retails for 1495. Will's labor is about as good as his grammar..........terrible. EVERY single vehicle that you saw on the show was eventually redone by other shops. I can recommend a lot of REPUTABLE shops that will do a MUCH better job that will hold up for the life of your vehicle.

Thanks guys for the valuable info. I really want to have sirius straight through the touchscreen. I am realizing that I should have bought a 2006 model. But I loved the color of the 2005 that I did buy. Oh well for now I'll pick up a new smaller sirius unit and run it through the fm. But again thanks for the info.

I can back Derek up on this. We installed a Nav TV VDock just last week in a 2005 Rover and it worked flawless, perfect integration from Nav TV. Will may have been talking about an Aux only input but not the complete control that the Nav TV Vdock provides. Derek can steer you in the right direction in your area to have this incredible upgrade added to your Rover. If anyone in the Houston area wants this install done you can PM me to set up an appointment...
Again,,,great work on this peice Derek and Nav TV!!
