Default Replacing power amp

Hello one and all,

First off there is nothing wrong with my sound system. I actually like it. I am wondering though, when it comes time to replace the speakers I am curious of two things. I know where the amp is under the driver's seat. Is it possible to modify an after market amp to be used instead of the factory amp? Also what is the actual power rating on the factory amp?

Any suggestion on replacement speakers? I am looking for real world usage not what someone has read in a review and is passing along. If you have replaced your speakers with after market ones, which ones do you use?

Thanks everyone!

so basically you put the postive of both your subs into one postive of your amp and both of your negative from the two subs into one negative on your amp?
