Default repetitive misfires, even after replacing plugs & wires & having head gasket checked

I've got an '02 and have had misfires in cylinder 3 and 5 "fixed" with new plugs and wires about a month ago. now the codes are reading that 1,3 and 5 are misfiring again. Could there be an underlying problem? I had the shoppe check the head gasket and look for other problems but it wasn't a land rover only shoppe. I don't know if I should take it back to the same place and complain that it wasn't fixed properly or how to move forward.

Swap plugs and see if the codes follow those cylinders. Doubtfull if you put in new ones

Check for lose, cracked, burned through wires, don't forget on the back end - ignition coils

Compression check the cylinders

If its not wires, plugs, coils, compression or headgasket/oil/coolant fowling, you are left only with injectors - try running a few tanks of seafoam or stp or whatever additive in the tanks and see if problems get resolved

thanks for the input. i'll definitely check all of those things and start with a couple of tanks of the stp, just because i'm sure it won't hurt.

btw... whats the miliage? there are a few things you may wish to tackle if this truck is new too you... disco's need special care to keep them from costing you bigtime in repairs. check the sticky threads in this forum, the drive shaft, brake shuttle valve problem, valve cover seasonal check etc. should be worth reading about and doing after you get all the cylinders going.

What is the mileage on the engine, what octane are you burning, what brand of plugs and wires?

O2 sensor or vacuum/exhaust leak, since it's just one bank. I had that happen on my 1999 D2, and a pair of new Bosch OEM sensors for $50 each at amazon fixed it right up.

EDIT: though my buddy did some welding repairs on the exhaust too while I had the Y-pipe out to replace the sensors... one sensor just didn't want to come out with the pipe still in the car.

mileage is almost 112k, i've had the vehicle for over two years..i just had a new radiator and throttle body defroster put in, i get regular oil changes, i use 91 octane in the tank (ALWAYS), i frequently check the oil and coolant since i learned after i first bought it that was important. last time i had a fluid flush was last year. i had new plug wires and a plenum gasket put in two years ago right after i got it. new sc optima battery two years ago. hope this info helps.

Might go out tonight when it is dark, and watch under hood when idling for small arcs around plugs, wires, boots, coils.
