I haven't updated this in a while, hunting and fishing season put a hold on Land Rover stuff. But that's over until September, my shoulder surgery went much better than expected and I came into a little bit of money and some of that is being thrown at the Disco. In no order: all fluids changed, lift installed, roof rack installed, front brush guard or steel bumper (haven't decided which yet), exhaust refurbished with new cats, we'll find the source of the leak that's throwing the codes (P1171 and 1174), and new tires. Oh, and we'll get the rust spots fixed and touch up the paint.
Those intake leaks should be pretty easy to find. I bet it is right at the intake boot to the manifold- that’s where I found one in mine and discovered I just didn’t seat it correctly. If it’s not there, the only other places I can think would be vacuum to the brake booster, the IAC valve, and of course just upstream from the MAF.
I can’t recall, did you do the PCV mod? That should be on the list too.

We did do the PCV mod when I was at your place. I believe there's a leak at the cruise control but I'm pretty sure there's something else going on
Today, I drove it over to my friend's who is a retired Land Rover/Jaguar mechanic with a lift. He is going to swap all the fluids and filters (trans/transfer/both diffs/brake fluid/power steering) and install the lift. I'm old and just don't feel like getting under a 24 year-old truck. He can use his lift and get everything easy. Also, there's some rust so being able to lift it will be very helpful I'm sure.
So I was today years old when I learned my cruise control works and that you PULL the lever to activate it:
At my friend's house:
Once this is all done, I'll put on new tires, the roof rack and the brush guard and the adventures will begin!!
Picked her back up today! She got: all fluids and filters replaced (transmission, transfer case, both diffs, brake fluid, power steering), new Terrafirma medium duty suspension with new shock towers and steering damper, new calipers, rotors and pads, and the vacuum leaks fixed. No more codes!!
Here she is with the lift. Does it look like she skipped leg day??
The new shock towers and shocks
And, one of the best things, new one-piece lug nuts. Shipping from England costs a pretty(ish) penny, but not having to deal with the jacked up lug nuts is worth it:
She rides so much better now, I guess the original shocks were really shot.
What's next (not necessarily in this order):
1. Replace the cats to get rid of the rattle
2. New tires (leaning towards Falken Wildpeaks)
3. Get the rust and leak in the roof fixed
4. Roof rack
5. Grille guard
6. Fix the cruise control diaphragm (anyone know of a how-to video?)
7. Paint the hood and roof
Looks great, is that the 2in terrafirma kit? I've been debating between terrafirma or old man emu. Also I'd definitely recommend wildpeaks, I've had mine for 40k kms, lots of highway travel plenty of difficult off road terrain and they've been absolutely perfect. Also no road noise on the highway or compromise to gas mileage

It is the Terrafirma 2" kit. My front spring towers were a little rusty so I added those and the steering damper too.
For the Wildpeaks, I'm assuming you don't have the E load tires. They only make them in E and SL and the last thing I want is to throw a set of heavy-a$$ E load tires on my already slow Disco. At this moment, my plan is to get the Wildpeaks in the SL next week.
Today, I had the new catalytic converters installed. Shop did it for $300. I got the universal CARB-compliant cats from Autozone, CatCo Cats Part No. 910004R. Guy did a great job. He said one of the biscuits had rotated and was effectively blocking off the pipe. The engine is now noticeably quieter and I'm surprised how much power was gained too.
Just ordered Falken Wildpeak A/T4W tires which will be installed on Friday. Went with 265/75R16.
Nice I went with 245/75/16 as I don't have a lift and they don't rub at all and 2. I like the narrower wheels more. But I love my falkens, they've gotten me through everything just fine
