She has been practicing driving with the truck for awhile with no issue, but I had a nagging feeling about the episode with the coolant..



Unfortunately the fluid changed color quick. So she will get the full land Rover ownership experience

Funny thing. I have been driving Land Rovers for 19 years, this is the first actual head gasket I have had let go

We got a bit of a start last weekend on stripping it down. Teaching along the way makes the process a bit slower, but I hope to have my daughter able to handle whatever comes up during Rover ownership.

In the bright side, once the heads are done, you know that she'll be able to trust the rig to get her home.

after redoing the heads in my 4.0 99 SD, I found it was weeping coolant at the passenger side freeze plugs so embarked on the "epic 4.6 build". Hopefully there's nothing so silly in your near future.
