Ok so got a chance to work on it a bit on Saturday. I started by breaking out the angle grinder and getting to work on removing the sides and all of the metal grating. With a quickness, I was about half way done and out of cutting wheels. It was getting late so I decided to pick up some more cut off wheels and I would continue on Sunday. Of course I wake up Sunday ready to get it all cut off so I can start building the main box and.... It's pouring rain all day..
Hoping to get a chance to mess with it after work this week.

Just found your thread, if you look at my trailer thread there are things i did for specific reasons
My wife would not allow a roof top tent on rover or on trailer
I will be working on the trailer again when time and money allow, ill be adding a rack on top to attatcch a car clamshell for overflow gear due to baby etc. Or to hold pelicans
I will need a heavier axle and want rover d1 hubs since the frame i used is jeep pattern
Something you need to consider is electric brakes when you buy that axle, i will be adding them, when its loaded and u have full jerry cans and water and go to stop the trailrr pushes you in a d1 not sure on lr3 since it is stupid heavy
If you ever plan to tow off road consider being able to swap to a 3 axis hitch on the fly like i did
Better springs will also be in your future
The propane tank is easily mounted with a forklift propane mount , amazon
Also i would plan to flushmount the tail lights
I considered alot of things like mounted canopy on trailer or truck and in the end its just easier and faster for us to pull chock the trailrr, pull out the instant canopy and instant tent and we are setup in like 10 minutes tables ,cooking everything and breakdown is probly about double
At the end of a long day last think i want is to spend time on setup while i have a hangry family lol
