Camp Trailer with a Roof Top Tent (RTT) build thread
#81
So not a real update on the trailer other than I now have my Roof Top Tent!
For now it is mounted on the LR3's roof rack. For the ride back from Maine, I had it ratchet strapped down to the rack since it did not work out to properly mount it.
Today I got it turned in the right direction and spent some time coming up with a mount idea. Once I had it I took a look at some scrap metal I had on hand and found a perfect piece of heavy angle iron.
I broke out the angle grinder and got to work on it. Notching it and grinding it smooth. Multiple trial fits later I had a good mount bar made. A quick shot with some Rustoleum had it ready for mounting.
Got it and the spare up there, aligned and locked down. A Christmas present I got was an amazing toy for today's work. A cordless Milwaukee 3/8 ratchet. I love this thing!
So for now it will be on the LR3 until the trailer is ready to have it mounted. The awning set up should be on its way next month.
