we have been using them successfully for around a year on the trail. Range has been good for a handheld, I got one with a short and long antenna and use the long one the short one was no where near as good.

OK I'll see when it arrives from China, thanks in advance, callsign VE6HFF
The light brackets showed up and I spent a bit of time fiddling with them to get the fitment right. The ProSpeed rack is a very tight fitting rack which I love but in this case it made life a touch more difficult. The bar clamps were a bit to beefy so they were not clearing the roof. Thought about grinding the clamp but decided to try trimming the rubber clamp insert a bit so it shifted the clamp a touch higher on the bar providing the clearance.
Very happy with the results. Now they are ready to swap over with the rack onto the new LR3 when it is ready
found some time to do a little work and sorted out mounting for the new Hella FF500 LEDS. Did a test fire using a Milwaukee m12 cordless tool battery. The harnesses will get installed in the new LR3 so it will be a quick swap over with the rack.
I was like..."holey moley"...he's getting this thing done quickly. But, this rover is not project rover, right? Those orange covers, are they standard or something you added?
I wish it was lol. Work has been going slow lately due to a water line blowing out 45 days ago in my house and firing the contractor about 4 days ago since zero progress was happening. I am now the contractor and labor to fix it all.
The rock covers were a add on. $4 a piece off Amazon. Handy to protect the lights.
Headliner is done along with the sunvisors!
Very happy with how that worked out with the local shop
I appreciate that. Water leak is fixed but the tore out all the tile to dry it and cut the carpet. That along with the drywall damage is keeping me busy trying to get the house back in order. Now since I am doing the work I have been informed there will be upgrades...
