I’ve followed similar design queues as seem to be the. Lam in how to make a Disco have the “look” This is in “expedition” mode.

I guess image hosting hasn’t been fixed yet...
Looks great! How does it drive with the tent mounted so high on the SD rack? I don't want to cut mine either but worry about the truck feeling top-heavy.

Oh definitely! I'm pretty sure I've watched them all. Looks like a ton of fun.

And build what you want, it is your truck. Just spend money on maintenance and reliability before the rest of the stuff. Having a basic looking truck you can take out on a 2 or 3 day trip with confidence, trumps looks every time.
Haha yeah the hatchet isn't the ideal tool. We'll have better tools next time. And totally agree on maintenance. I always wait 3-6 months after buying a car before spending money the "fun stuff." With this truck it was just fixing a bunch of oil and coolant leaks. Since then it's been nothing but reliable for the ≈5000 miles or so I've owned it.

With the tent, I don’t even notice it. With all the other weight of fuel and water plus the bike on the back, I’m very glad I have air bags and ACE.

Here are some photos from a recent trip after our first snow here in Northern California. We even found a fresh trail with no tracks and both the Discovery 2 and my friend's Range Rover Classic SWB drove beautifully without any issues.

Very nice. The LR’s are in their element in the snow.

Picked up a D1 Safari Gard front bumper, swapped out the ARB and gained a ton of approach angle. Now looking for a steel rear bumper.

SG made some top notch products that still rival most today. No problems on that approach angle now.

Greg Davis rear bumper is an amazing option but hard to get one’s hands on

Nothing really new with the truck, it's been very solid and reliable in the last 10,000 miles. Just rolled over 240,000. Anyway here are some recent photos!
