Today yielded mostly info
Hf trailer is 5x4.5" same as jeep yj,tj, ford ranger explorer crown Vic etc
Had a friend give me nice 1"? Bolt on spacers should I need em
I plan to go no larger then 31x10.5 on tires
I also found this which has nice plans on cutting down the trailer which is on my list, also making it narrower, thinking I want the deck 40" wide, plus this will help the tires clear
Fiberglass M416/M100 Military-style Trailer Tub Kit
Also picked up a ATV cargo basket from hf, will save me some Fab time on a Jerry can holder and it was cheap around $40 with coupon?
Still waiting on parts so I can figure my final trailer size and start chopping

Yeah I will post pics as I do actual work , but figured links were the best idea if I am copying some one else
Got the narrowed frame sections installed and reconfigured the tounge per the directions, also got the spring perches cut off axle and rewelded in new location now plenty o room for larger rims and tires now, guess I need to go Craigslist shopping for cheapoos before I start on my final dimensions for the box
side note they were not welded in line from china so the axle was twisted as mounted

OK progress pics hard between rain and emergencies for a friend in poor health
Trailer deck is now 40x72 , I opted to do a full length spine of received tubing ( will weld that tommorow )
Everything is bolted and welded or just welded
I did not follow directions for extending the frame rails since I have a welder I welded the extensions both sides then ground weld down and installed 2 cross members bolted together, and each bolted and welded in on opposite sides of the frame next weld
Directions were to cut up a cross member and use it as fishplate with bolts to bridge this guess that's fine if you have no welder access
Heres some free jeep rims and tires I got, tires are 225/75/15?? To small but free so good for now
Pic of clearance on modified axle, I do not have wheel spacers installed think it looks great as far as clearence

Since I am just about to the point of starting the box/body looking for suggestions on materials
I need water proof since we will store our gear in it year round,
I was thinking some thin box for frame and plywood floor, then skin with 24ga sheet metal or .095 aluminum
Trying to keep weight down
I might also be getting a couple utility truck bed doors to use, one on back and one on side near front
