Also got door jambs sealed with some clear elasto something sealer comes in caulk tube by dap

Need to touch up paint and do door seals, put my stuff in it woohoo

Still more to do but useable storage is a good start

Side door is cut down piano hinge from Lowes $12?
rear door 4" hinges from harbor freight $2 each
made the door cables from 1/8" stuff from Lowes $10??
d rings and brackets for cables can be Lowes or hf $2-3 a pair
floor padding is hf *** check packed to make sure all of them are molded same direction some packs I bought were molded backwards $10 for each pack
Door latches were eBay found a cheap set of 4 keyed alike $51 shipped?
aluminum boxes ebay $279 shipped for pair 15x15x49"
Tounge box $121 shipped eBay
1700# hf trailer $319 with coupon
Cargo rack was hf $40? On sale
Sheet cheap sheathing plywood $16? Lowes and they cut it

My time $0, had to buy more gas for migg welder and another spool of wire plus gas bottle refill , crimper tool for cables, new dremel for door jamb welds

There was some other small steel things I had done with scrap from other jobs

I still want to do more so its hard to figure the total, guessing will be between 1500-2k

 

Spares mounted, used yj jeep tire bracket off tailgate I had from an old project, axle bolted on and all our gears in with room to spare, and pic to my partner in crime (the crazy old man aka dad) as he ponders the sanity of what we are doing



Yes it is 85* and he is wearing an insulated flannel but I guess at like 75 and a vet he is entitled lol
