Opened the new rear and found this bearing, tore the rear apart and can't locate the source??

Gears are fine except 1 spider looks like someone tried to chisel it out of the rear

Also rear is 3:42 not 3:23 but still good for me

 

Rear is in found that 79 drive shaft is perfect fit

Waiting on bushings to finilize the perches and then paint/reinstall

 

So lots o progress today, springs remounted, modded perches for rear so they now set angled, fully welded the perches, cleaned rear and backing plates and primed/painted everything
Also put 4 welds on each tube at the carrier for strength as it was recommended

 

Well I guess even AC delco quality is bad now, brand new wheel cylinder went to bleed an fluid shooting out of one end

 

Pulled and rebuilt shifter, had broken part inside

 

 

New Moog front springs

 

Pulled fender to replace bad blower motor found 100# of rat nest all inside firewall and heater box

 

Welded up antenna hole in fender and old hood pin holes on hood

 

Bennett a while since I updated this, bought new repop hood tach, I am next in line for restoration and paint so just ordered a ton of parts

Drove a few times and seems great with the new rear , I also ended up modding the second Gen traction bars and reinstalling the air shocks
